Ecuadorian “Bistek” (steak).
I have a friend that lives in Ecuador (South America) that is a professional chef. I asked her to send me some recipes so I can cook Ecuadorian dishes. I followed her instructions, and I feel I did pretty well for the first time of preparing an Ecuadorian dish. I will share the recipe.
Ecuadorian Bistek
Ingredients:
1 lbs thin beef steaks
2 tsp salt
½ tsp of pepper
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
¾ of sweet peppers

Ecuadorian Bistek
Ingredients:
1 lbs thin beef steaks
2 tsp salt
½ tsp of pepper
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
¾ of sweet peppers
- Mix the garlic, salt, and pepper to make a paste.
- Season the steaks by rubbing a small amount of paste onto both sides of each steak.
- Let rest for about 15 minutes
- Add sweet peppers while cooking meat.
